An Evening out with Yada

The older I get, I wonder how and where I will meet friends. God is always faithful and provides me with the exact people I need in my life at the exact time. Why can't I trust that God is all-knowing and has a plan for my life.
This year my office happens to be at a middle school and the office staff is great. There is one office member that is particularily special and we hit it off from the moment we met. Her name is Yadira, but I call her Yada, my BFF. We laugh so hard together and have a lot in common, for example: our obsession for New Kids on the Block in the 90's. We have to be kindred spirits if we went to almost the same NKOTB concerts.
Yada invited me to attend a country concert. I have always loved country music and knew it would be fun because I would be with Yada. I asked her who was playing and when she told me the bands I felt so out of the loop. So, I accepted her invitation and got ready for an evening of fun!
Little did we know, Yada had gotten front row tickets off of Craig's List. It was so awesome! We heard the Zac Brown Band and Little Big Town. I instantly fell in love with both of these bands. The opening band was the Zac Brown band. They are famous for singing Chicken Fried. Plus, they have the coolest and most talented violin player.

During the intermission, Yada and I made friends with a fellow front rower and the security guard. In fact, concert goers wanted to come and stand in the front and we were not going to have any of that. The security guard was a bit afraid of me, but we quickly became fast friends.

Then the main band Little Big Town came on to perform. They were awesome and I loved the harmony. Yada introduced me to two new great bands. Since we were close, I got some great shots of the band. I had fun fooling around with my camera to get the right shots. They didn't turn out that bad. I couldn't decide which ones to not put on here, so I am putting a lot on. Enjoy!

After the concert, we stayed the night in a cozy log cabinish hotel. It was nice and spacious. We tried to eat dinner at a restaurant across the street, but the wait was quite obnoxious. We got free pop out of the deal! We made friends with the manager of the hotel, he was real sweet and posed for a picture with Yada. They had a gorgeous fireplace on the second floor of the hotel. Yada and I got a pic in front of it before we left.

There are so many memories from our trip that only Yada and I were able to experience and understand. Sometimes, the unwritten stories are the ones you always wish you had heard, but my lips are sealed. I will leave you with one last picture. Thanks to Yada for bringing the country girl back out of me. It was forced to hide for awhile, but now is free to sing it loud with twang! Yeah!
