My Precious Friend
Tonight I got together with a dear friend of mine, Crista. She was one of my bridesmaids in my wedding. We thought about memories of times we had before we had kids. Life was so different then and it seems like so long ago. It is funny in life how some friends seem to weave in and out of your life. I have noticed in my own life that everyone teaches me something and adds a little bit to who I am today. Crista and her husband, Judd, were very close friends of mine through my marriage and divorce. Judd is an amazing father and husband, who treats my friend, Crista, how she deserves to be treated. They were able to let me see the light into some very difficult situations. Crista and I have done many bible studies together and we know each others hearts so well. We can be quite loud and crazy when we are in public and usually people don't want to be with us. I will never forget when we were at Kohl's looking for jewelry for my wedding and we ran around the store yelling, "Creeg!" A great line from a classic movie called The Man From Snowy River. As our friendship has evolved we spend a great deal of time talking about being mothers. There is really no "right" way to parent especially since every child is unique in their own way. One thing Crista and I have in common is the desire to love our kids and do all that we can to raise them in a healthy home filled with love, security, and passion for God. Parenting is hard and it never gets easier. Crista and I have been through a lot in our friendship and no matter how much time is between our visits, we pick up right where we left off the time before. She is my precious friend and I appreciate her prayers and support. Crista you are my soulmate friend and I love you so much! Thanks for always being there and making me laugh until I cry. You are such a blessing and I look forward to seeking God with you and mastering the craft of motherhood. Maybe someday we will actually get to take that Scrapbooking trip that we have always dreamed of taking! :)
