As often as we can, the kids and I like to spend time with Marie and Dawson. Marie and I have quite a story. We met six years ago at Little Canada Elementary. I was teaching Title 1 and Marie was teaching 5th grade. We instantly became friends and our faith drew us even closer. After that school year, Marie and Brad moved far away...too far. We kept in touch while she was away. We both had our first babies (Hailey and Dawson) who are only six months apart. It seemed like she was gone forever. A few years ago, they moved back to the Twin Cities and my life was changed. She has been my best friend through my divorce. She is the type of friend who listens and listens and listens... (Right Marie) and she is still my friend. She is brutally honest, which I love and am so thankful for because I need it as I venture through life as a single mom. Marie is a blessing from God and I love spending as much time together as we can. Usually we hang out with our three munchkins and we never get to talk. We end up putting out fires, putting kids on time out, or hiding treats from the kids when they come and check on us. :) Nevertheless, we continue to hang out and create memories. Here are a couple snap shots of the last time we were together or maybe it was two times ago. Who knows? Our times run together...love you Marie! Thank you for being my "besty!"
