Fun at the Community Fair

Last weekend, the kids and I headed downtown St. Paul to attend the Christian Community Fair with Heather, Peter, Yaya, and Jacob. When we arrived there we met up with Heather's parents. We started our adventure by running into Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales and the kids were xcited to pose for a picture with them.

Next we started to walk around the event booths they had around. We happened to run into TC, the mascot for the Twins! Hailey and Ezzie were thrilled to pose for a picture. I think they are okay with costumed figures after seeing so many at Walt Disney World. Plus, they had a few mascots that were created for the event and they loved posing with them when we ran into them throughout the day.

Heather's mom, Jan, treated Yaya and Hailey to face painting and they were so excited. One booth had a Bald Eagle for the kids to see and only Hailey would stand close enough to be in a picture. A highlight would be the booth that gave out balloon animals or hearts. Hailey and Ezzie loved theirs and were a bit devistated when they didn't last long.

Ezzie had a ball shooting pucks at the net at one of the booths. I couldn't tear him away and he just kept shooting. He was having a ball and actually had a pretty good shot and really without any training or instruction.

The petting zoo there was pretty good and the only bad part was that the animals were a bit aggressive when we fed them their food. The kids didn't mind, they loved it!

We ended our day by making cards for Uncle Jeff! Hailey and Ezzie were so excited to create cards and write a special message for their Uncle. Jeff is in Afghanistan and we miss him dearly. We pray for his safety and can't wait until he comes home. We will send him his cards and hope it brings some sunshine to his day.

I had to add this additional photo of the three of us. A woman at one of the booths took family pictures for free and it turned out so cute! My munchkins are growing up so fast and I have started to treasure every moment I have with them and sometimes a picture captures those moments like this one.
