My Adventures in New York City
I was able to spend an extended weekend in New York City with my dear friends! This is a video made especially for them, but you may see it as well. There is supposed to be voice recording with the video, but only the music showed up. In my video, I spoke about my trip and the awesome people I spent time with there.
I spent a few nights with Angela, one of Mandi and Sunil's dear friend. Angela and I had a great time! We ate dinner at Peep, which can only be explained when you experience it for yourself. We enjoyed beverages at a quaint Mexican place with little mice running around. But like Angela said, "Welcome to New York!" I loved spending time with Angela and we had a lot of fun!
I was able to enjoy time with Sunil's sister, Sinali. Let em tell you that Sunali is a fabulous cook! She welcomed me with apple crisp and homemade chicken noodle soup! WOW! It was amazing. She even invited me to a brunch with some of her friends. She baked Banana Foster French Toast and Quiche to die for. Oh my word! She fed me well. Plus, she is a sweetheart and I enjoyed spending time with her.
Then there's Katt! Katt is the bomb! She is also a dear friend of Sunil and Mandi's. Katt and I strolled around Central Park, my favorite place in New York. I love spending time with Katt, because she is real and makes me feel good about who I am. We enjoyed a yummy cheese plate and chocolate mousse at Cafe Lalo's. For those of you who are unaware, this cafe is in my favorite movie, "You've Got Mail." It was a joy and pleasure for me to eat there, especially with Katt's company. Katt headed off to work and I followed her to Times Square. I ran into Elmo and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Katt took pictures of me with them, because I knew Hailey and Ez would love it. However, the costumes had obviously NEVER been washed and stunk to high heaven. Oh, the price we pay for our kids. I love Katt!
Last, but not least, the highlight of my trip was hanging with the Rajun's. I have to start with Cody the cat. He was my cuddle buddy the entire time of my stay. He kept my feet warm when I slept and my lap full when I relaxed. Marlon is such a beautiful young lady and I can't believe how grown up she is. I loved spending time with her and she is amazing! Sunil, I love you so much! Thank you for letting me stay at your home, even when I am loud and crazy. You are so amazing and I keep you in my prayers everyday. Mandi, I love you girl! Thanks for being a true and loyal friend through it all. We may not talk everyday or see each other all the time. But you are a treasure and I am so glad you are in my life. Mandi and Sunil, you are blessed friends and I am so lucky to have you in my life. Thank you for everything! I can't wait to see you soon!
