One of my favorite memories of Christmas time is watching my dad make fudge. There were numerous times that I would stand by the stove and watch him stir and stir and stir to make the fudge smooth. And listen, my dad's fudge is ALWAYS smooth. (Until this day, I still have not gotten it as smooth as he does.) He always used the tall green pot and made it look so easy to make it. His fudge was a hit where ever we went to share it. The best part was licking the spatula and pot when he was done. Hot fudge is the best treat I have ever had, so I looked forward to it every Christmas. As I get older I try to make it on my own, but it is an art I have not yet perfected. My dad's fudge is a legacy that he will leave behind. This Christmas, is the first time I let two new tasters have the spatula. It was hard to give up, but a joy to watch my munchkins enjoy the same taste that I have since I was a little girl. Let me tell you they enjoyed every lick!(Oh by the way, this is a secret family recipe and we don't give it out. I have given it out once and she is worn to secrecy.)
