Ben and Kyla hosted the get together and it was the perfect place. We all met there on a Friday night to enjoy some of my dad's famous curry and great conversation. Dad got Mason first and pretty much lulled him to sleep.
The Muntean girls are growing up so quickly and into some beautiful young ladies. One of the highlights was Aunt Candy giving the girls each a dress that she had made special for them. They put them on right away and we snapped some pictures. As you can tell, they are so beautiful and all look a bit alike. Of course, they all enjoyed holding Mason. Hannah did a great job with him. Actually, the girls helped Kyla put Mason to bed and he loved it!
At every Mattson gathering, group pictures are taken. Usually the same group pictures that we always take and sometimes even in the same order. However, we rarely get pictures of myself, Ben, my brother, and my sister, Heather. So I always like to get a good one when the three of us together. Plus, we aren't all together with dad very often, so this was a treat. And of course, the addition of Sam and Kyla to our family has been an excellent one. Plus, all the Mattson cousins were together and you can tell who is the "fun" cousin in the bunch. And of course, I love my Aunt Penny. We are a lot alike, we are both funny and a bit crazy!!
I had to get a picture with my nieces, because they are getting bigger each time I see them. I was bummed that Hailey and Ezzie weren't with me, because they would have loved to see their cousins.
One of the highlights was when the boys went into the garage to watch Ben fix his break pads, at least it got them away from the loud group of girls for awhile.
Overall, it was a great evening and there was always a ton of laughter had by all. I wonder when we will all be able to get together like this again, hopefully soon!
