MN State Fair 2008

Tradition! I love tradition. I am starting new traditions for me and my kids. One tradition, however, must remain the same with a few slight changes. The kids and I LOVE going to the fair. In fact, since early spring Hailey often asks me when is the fair. Finally, it has arrived. Our family has gone with the Anderson's for at least the past five years. One year, the four of us walked from the house on Tatum when I was 6 months pregnant with Hailey. Another year, we went to the fair when Ez was only four weeks old. The fair is quite different now with four kids between us, but we still have a great time. Tradition has always been to visit the fair with my dad, as well. This year we combined traditions all in one trip.
We ate the best food-cheese curds, Sweet Martha's cookies, pronto pup's, mini donuts, raspberry wine with Anita and Al and so much more. Hailey's highlight would have to have been when she pet the baby piglet in the baby farm barn. She has been begging me for a baby pig for awhile now. This only made her want a baby pig more-if she can keep it at Papa Craig's it is fine with me. Ezra's highlight had to have been the Giant Slide. I took him down the first time and he was so excited! We had to do it one more time! We went so fast that Papa Craig couldn't capture our ride on film. We can't wait until next year!! We LOVE the fair!
