A few weeks ago, Auntie Becky went with Papa Dan to see Grandma and Grandpa Sprick at their farm. They planned to do some work around the farm to help out. They came across two very, very small kittens in a box full of wires. Auntie Becky fell in love with them and wanted to nurse them back to health. They assumed the mother died or abandoned them, because she was nowhere to be found. They brought the kittens home to help them get better and find them good homes. (No, I am not taking another cat-no matter how cute and cuddly they are! No matter how much Hailey loves them and wants to bring them home.) It has been amazing to watch these cute kittens, named June and Johnny, grow and get healthier and spunkier. When we over at the Sprick's the other night, they were chasing each other and playing together. When Becky first got them, she was having to bottle feed them because they were so young. Hailey and Ezra helped when we came to visit. It was so precious and those kittens loved their bottles. Now after many visits to the vet, great care by not only Auntie Becky, but Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie Sarah, these kittens look like normal little kittens. We are not sure where they will end up, but it will be fun to watch them grow and visit them as long as they are at the Sprick's home. I am so glad that my kids love animals, because they are learning what it means to treat animals gently and how much it takes to take care of them.
