We have found a great new church this past year at Rockpoint. They have amazing opportunities for kids, such as VBS and Awana. I loved both of these as a kid and look forward to exposing my children to the same experiences. VBS started on Sunday night at our church and has a Veggie Tales Pirate theme. Ezzie has a cool leader named Matt and they seem to have clicked well. Hailey, of course, talks all about her new friends that she has met in her crew. The church created a pretty cool pirate ship that we had to get a picture of, so we could remember. Hailey was a bit hesitant of all the pirates walking around church, but now she seems fine with them. The songs they sing are great and their verse of the week is Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." WOW! Right now in my life, this is a verse I must remember. Now that I have children, I realize the importance of showing your kids who God is in a variety of ways. VBS is a great place to introduce them to bible stories and learning more about who God is and what he has done for us. I have been able to volunteer some of my time by working at the Registration Table. This has been such a blessing because I have met some of the wonderful women that attend Rockpoint. I feel like I have had the opportunity to connect with some of them and start to build relationships. I continue to be thankful to God for bringing us to this church!
